National Certificate for Dental Surgery Assistant NEBDN 1990. Certificate in Oral Hygiene Education (University of Nottingham 1995). Certificate in Dental Radiography 2009. Certificate in Orthodontic Nursing 2009. Certificate for taking Dental Impressions 2009. Diploma in Orthodontic Therapy (University of Warwick 2011).
Experience
After leaving school in 1988, Sarah worked for eight years in general dentistry, first joining on a YTS scheme. During that time she worked some hours in the Orthodontic Department at Middlesbrough General Hospital. She joined us an Orthodontic Nurse in 1996 and started training as Orthodontic Therapist in August 2010.
Training and background
Sarah did her NEBDN training at Shape Training in Middlesbrough and her Cert OHE (Uni Nottingham) at Stockton/Billingham college (night school). She later completed her Dental Radiography BDA online and her Orthodontic Nursing and Dental Impressions courses at Newcastle Dental Hospital. She also has a Diploma in Orthodontic Therapy from the University of Warwick.
